so warped tour is the longest running music festival, with this year being the tour’s 15th anniversary. the lineup was equal parts complete talent and a complete joke. with bands like brokencyde, millionaires, jeffree star and breathe carolina sharing the same stages as P.O.S., thrice, the ataris and veterans like less than jake and bad religion, it’s pretty fair to share kevin lyman had his head up his ass.

anyway, i got a hold of press last minute, so aj, my girl mona and i, along with mike (thanks for the p.o.s. and bayside interviews) decided to stick it out in the heat due to opportunities that we couldn’t pass up.

i honestly couldn’t care less about writing a full recap of the show. there was just a lot of idle time and intense texas heat (it was over 100°F the entire time we were there) to sum all that up. there was a lot of sweat, a lot of rock and a lot of powerade.

we caught full sets from thrice, bayside, the ataris, bad religion and chiodos (hey, i’ll admit to liking them.) and partial sets from underoath, p.o.s. and streetlight manifesto. due to scheduling conflicts and venue conflicts, we did miss sets from saosin, innerpartysystem, shad and alexisonfire — but i guess that’s all a part of the warped tour itinerary.)
